Established in 1945 as one of the central colleges created under Hon. C.W.W. Kannangara's free education reforms, Kekirawa Central College opened the doors of quality education to children in the North Central Province.
Today, as a national school, we continue that mission by blending strong classroom teaching with technology, co-curricular activities and community values, always guided by our enduring motto Duty First.

The Trial of Code Ends: CyberNex '26 Announces CO/DEXA — Algorithem Winners!
The trial of code has reached its end! The ICT Society of Kekirawa Central College (KCC-ICTS) has officially announced the winners of the CO/DEXA — Algorithem competition at CyberNex '26. Congratulations to the brilliant tech minds from Royal College Colombo, President's College Minuwangoda, Kingswood College, St. Anthony's College Kandy, and Ananda College Colombo for claiming the digital throne.

Empowering Commerce Students: University of Kelaniya Hosts Seminars and Launches "Shilpa Yathra" at Kekirawa Central College
Under Investment Week '26, the second-year undergraduates of the Department of Finance, University of Kelaniya, conducted an Advanced Level Commerce seminar on Accounting and Economics alongside the launch of the Shilpa Yathra magazine at the Kekirawa Central College Auditorium. The event was attended by Professor Susima Weligamage, visiting university lecturers, and College Principal Mr. H.M.N. Wipulasiri Herath, benefiting A/L commerce students across the Kekirawa Education Zone.

Strengthening Academic Collaboration: Post-Second Term Class Circles Successfully Concluded
Kekirawa Central College successfully conducted a series of Parent-Teacher "Class Circles" following the Second Term Examinations. Held from September 16 to September 24, 2026, for Grades 6 through 11, the meetings focused on evaluating student academic progress, discussing examination results, and strengthening collaboration between the school and parents.
