Empowering Commerce Students: University of Kelaniya Hosts Seminars and Launches "Shilpa Yathra" at Kekirawa Central College
Under Investment Week '26, the second-year undergraduates of the Department of Finance, University of Kelaniya, conducted an Advanced Level Commerce seminar on Accounting and Economics alongside the launch of the Shilpa Yathra magazine at the Kekirawa Central College Auditorium. The event was attended by Professor Susima Weligamage, visiting university lecturers, and College Principal Mr. H.M.N. Wipulasiri Herath, benefiting A/L commerce students across the Kekirawa Education Zone.
As part of Investment Week '26, the second-year undergraduates of the Department of Finance, University of Kelaniya, organized a comprehensive academic seminar series and magazine launch for Advanced Level Commerce stream students of the Kekirawa Education Zone. The event was held successfully at the school auditorium, creating a vibrant learning platform for aspiring young commerce scholars.
The initiative focused on strengthening subject knowledge, exam strategies, and practical insights in two core subjects: Accounting and Economics. Through interactive lectures and discussions, visiting academics and university students guided the A/L candidates toward greater academic clarity and confidence.
