Prabhathaya (9 to 10)” – Fourth Consecutive Programme Successfully Held at Kekirawa Central College

Prabhathaya (9 to 10)” was held for the fourth time at Kekirawa Central College to support Grade 9 students transitioning to Grade 10. Organized by the Grade 9–11 Section and the Prefect Guild, the programme included team games on 18th December 2025 and a final concert on 19th December 2025 at the P.B. Abeykoon Auditorium, focusing on building confidence, teamwork, and unity among students.

Kekirawa Central College successfully conducted “Prabhathaya (9 to 10)” for the fourth consecutive time, continuing a meaningful school tradition aimed at supporting students as they transition from Grade 9 to Grade 10. The programme focused on developing self-confidence, teamwork, leadership, and mutual understanding among students preparing to enter a new academic stage.


The programme took place in two main phases. On 18th December 2025, a series of interactive team-based games was organized within the school premises. A total of 20 teams from Grade 9 participated in 10 different games, encouraging collaboration, healthy competition, and strong team spirit among students.


The final concert of “Prabhathaya” was held on 19th December 2025 at the P.B. Abeykoon Auditorium. The event featured student performances and creative presentations, celebrating unity, enthusiasm, and the collective effort of the participants. The concert provided a memorable conclusion to the programme and strengthened bonds among the students.


This programme was organized by the Grade 9–11 Section together with the Prefect Guild, under the guidance of the Principal, Vice Principals, Section Heads, and dedicated teachers of Kekirawa Central College. Their leadership and continuous support contributed greatly to the success of this fourth edition of “Prabhathaya”.


“Prabhathaya (9 to 10)” continues to be an important initiative that reflects the school’s commitment to holistic student development and the creation of a supportive, united school community.
